LEADING LIGHTS IN THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION. No.5

The Cycling career of Mr Millard started forty-two years ago. Six years later he was building the Pacer cycles at Trowbridge, and was one of the first in England to take up the sale of motorcycles and cars, including the Horseless Carriage Company's New Beeston Tri-cycles, the 3 1/2 h.p. Benz, the Singer, and the first 1 1/4 h.p. Werner.  Some twenty years ago, Mr Millard moved to Guernsey, where he now runs one of the leading Motor and cycles businesses.

 

He was elected Vice-President of the National Association in November, 1926, after serving two years as a National Councillor, and until this year acted as Hon, Secretary to the Guernsey Centre. Mr Millard is also a member of the Guernsey Sates (local governing body), member of the M.A.A. Council,  and was made a Fellow of the Institute of Motor Traders in March, 1928. He is a prominent figure in Guernsey politics and takes an extremely active part in everything connected with the motorcycle and cycle industries.

Some 20 years ago - age 39 years (1909) - move to Guernsey

Made Vice-President of the National Association in November 1926. age 56
